HVREMSCO Stroke Designation

For hospitals that provide interventional stroke services and intend on receiving patients from EMS that may require thrombectomy we request that the hospital CEO provide a letter to the REMSCO with the following specific details:

  1. That said facility has 24/7/365 capability to provide endovascular treatment for ischemic stroke.
  2. That said facility is planning on obtaining thrombectomy or comprehensive stroke center certification.  Include the planned certification agency and date.  If the facility is already certified, then enter the current certification information should be provided.
